 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East. EBONYI STATE GOVERNOR,SUSPENDED HIS SPECIAL ADVISER TODAY FOR HER UNRULY BEHAVIOUR.

                    Today monday Ebonyi state Governor Dave Umahi suspended indefinitely his Special Adviser in charge of Lagos Lison office,Mrs Jacinta Nworie for alleged unruly behaviour.A statement issued by the Governor's Principal Secretary,Nweke Clement,said the suspension followed alleged unruly behaviours and acts unbecoming of a public office holder,which portrayed the state in a bad light.The statement directed the suspended Special Adviser to immediately hand over all government properties in her possession to the most Senior Civil Servant in the office.Mrs Nworie was last week redeployed back to the state to take over as Special Adviser on Talent Development in the office of the secretary to the State Government.One more photo below.
