 Al Ahly secures spot in quarterfinals with dominant 3-0 win over Mayo Kani Evolution Egyptian volleyball giants Al Ahly have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Championship after a commanding 3-0 victory over Cameroon’s Mayo Kani Evolution (MKE), with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 25-15. Al Ahly made their intentions clear from the start, dominating the first set 25-17 with fast-paced play and exceptional ball distribution. Although MKE showed resilience, with solid backcourt defense to keep several balls in play, the Egyptian side remained in control. The second set saw both teams exchange a series of errors, including hitting and serving mistakes. Despite the tight contest, Al Ahly pulled away in the final moments to clinch the set 25-19, extending their lead in the match. ELTON JOHN,DONATED $5M TO SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN ORGANISATIONS TO HELP GAY AIDS VICTIMS.

                   Today thursday,Elton John Aids Foundation gave $5m to organisations in sub-Saharan Africa who work with lesbian,bisexual,gay and transgender people suffering from AIDS or HIV.Sir Elton John believes that HIV/AIDS is spreading across Africa because people are afraid to come out publicly that they are gay.He says the stigmatization they suffer makes them more vulnerable to contracting the disease.Elton said ''It stigmatizes the disease and the conditions where they live and so they don't come out and have HIV tests.They feel nervous about going on the medication,about being labelled or branded as someone with HIV,so we really have to go in and attack the root of the problem and that is the stigmatization and lack of safe access to treatment and advice and counselling.Otherwise,we won't stop the disease in tracks''.John and his husband David Furnish,will unveil a new partnership with the US President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief {PEPFAR},with the Elton John AIDS Foundation and PEPFAR each contributing $5 million to a fund to increase access to medication for people with HIV and AIDS in countries that are prejudiced towards the lesbian,gay,bisexual,and transgender {LGBT} community.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
