 OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT TAKES SWIFT ACTION ON SAGAMU INTERCHANGE SECURITY CONCERNS In response to rising security concerns at the Sagamu Interchange, Amotekun operatives and officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) carried out operations under the bridge this morning to address criminal activities in the area. The government acknowledges the disturbing reports of violent attacks on innocent citizens and assures residents that decisive measures are being taken to restore safety. The security agencies have been mobilized to increase surveillance and crack down on criminal elements operating in the vicinity. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies. The Ogun State Government remains committed to ensuring the safety of all residents and travelers.                    Today sunday,the streets of Apapa was packed with security men as the Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo's wife HID Awolowo was being laid to rest today at Apapa Waterside.She died about two months ago and she would have been a 100 years 25TH November 2015.She was born 25 November 1915 and i heard that Ex-Governor Ahmed Tinubu was mobbed when he arrived the venue in Apapa.May her soul rest in peace,Amen.The above picture is her body being laid in a glass coffin.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
