 There was no evidence that he slept with the girl” – Yomi Fabiyi gives update on Baba Ijesha’s case Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has given an update on embattled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha’s case. Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court. INEC DECLARES KOGI STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION,INCONCLUSIVE TODAY.

                    Today sunday,INEC {Independent National Electoral Commission} declared the governorship election held in Kogi state yesterday saturday as inconclusive.The Chief Returning Officer for the election,Prof.Emmanuel Kucha,who announced the results,said Audu had 240,867 votes,while the incumbent governor,Idris Wada scored 199,514.The difference between the two Major candidate was 41,353 votes.While announcing the INEC's decision on the poll,the returning officer quoted a relevant section of the Electoral Act,saying since the total number of cancelled vote exceeded the difference in votes between the two major candidates,the commission will order a supplementary poll in the affected areas.The total number of cancelled votes was 49,953.In the election,the APC candidate/defeated Wada in 16of the 21 local government areas in the  state.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
