 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. KOGI GOVERNOR WADA,DECLARED A SEVEN DAY MOURNING FOR LATE AUDU.

                   Today monday Kogi Governor Idris Wada confirmed the death of Alhaji Abubakar Audu.Wada,who made the confirmation in a statewide broadcast to the people today monday said Audu died yesterday sunday at his Ogbonicha village in ofu Local Government Area of Kogi.The governor condoled with the family and people of the state over the demise,describing the late Audu as a man of the people who laid solid foundation for the growth and development of the state.He them declared monday as public holiday to enable the people,especially the civil servants to attend the burial and pay their last respect.Wada also declared a seven day mourning during which the national flag would fly at half mast and office activities scalled down.The burial of Audu had been shifted to from 11:00am to 4:00pm today,this is to allow his friends,relations and fellow politicians who are coming from far and near to witness the burial.
