 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. KOGI GOVERNOR WADA,DECLARED A SEVEN DAY MOURNING FOR LATE AUDU.

                   Today monday Kogi Governor Idris Wada confirmed the death of Alhaji Abubakar Audu.Wada,who made the confirmation in a statewide broadcast to the people today monday said Audu died yesterday sunday at his Ogbonicha village in ofu Local Government Area of Kogi.The governor condoled with the family and people of the state over the demise,describing the late Audu as a man of the people who laid solid foundation for the growth and development of the state.He them declared monday as public holiday to enable the people,especially the civil servants to attend the burial and pay their last respect.Wada also declared a seven day mourning during which the national flag would fly at half mast and office activities scalled down.The burial of Audu had been shifted to from 11:00am to 4:00pm today,this is to allow his friends,relations and fellow politicians who are coming from far and near to witness the burial.
