  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us. MALI PRESIDENT IBRAHIM BOUBACAR,VISITED THE VICTMS OF FRIDAY TERRORIST HOTEL ATTACK.

              Yesterday saturday, Mali's President Ibrahim Boubacar visited people injured in friday's gun attack on one of the Malian capital's top hotel Raddison Blue Hotel,that left 19 people dead,including two gunmen.Speaking to reporters briefly after visiting the hotel yesterday saturday,Keita said the attack underscored the global threat posed by islamic extremists,especially coming just one week after teams of attackers from the Islamic state group in Paris killed 130 people while targeting a stadium,a concert hall,cafes and restaurants.A cook at the Bamako's Radisson Blu hotel has said he escaped the attack by extremists by jumping out the window after being shot at.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
