 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. MANY PEOPLE WERE KILLED IN A BANK ROBBERY TODAY,IN EDO STATE.

                   Today wednesday,several people including policemen were killed during a bank robbery at Igara headquarters of Akoko Edo  local government area of Edo state.A security guard at the bank was killed at the operation which eyewitness said lasted one hour.The robbery operation was said to have begun at about 6am today shortly after the state's Police Commissioner,Chris Ezike,left Auchi which is about 30 minutes drive from Igara.An eyewitness said the robbers killed a guard and started shooting people after ransacking the bank and attacking policemen at the police station.Many people are receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in the area.Another witness said the robbers were heavily armed and engaged the police in a shoot out.One more photo below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
