 Aguiyi Orders Investigation into Trans Nkisi Mining Site Over Environmental Compliance By Amaka Isikala The Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Clem Aguiyi, has ordered an investigation into the environmental compliance status of a mining site at Trans Nkisi, Onitsha, following concerns over extensive land degradation and its possible contribution to the growing gully erosion threatening the community. The directive followed an inspection visit to the site on August 1, during which the commissioner was accompanied by leaders of the Trans Nkisi community. The visit formed part of the ministry's ongoing assessment of environmentally sensitive locations across the state in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Fifth Pillar of Development, Environment and Urban Regeneration. RUSSIAN PRESIDENT PUTIN,SIGNED A DECREE THAT IMPOSED AN ECONOMY SANCTIONS ON TURKEY.

                Today sunday,it was reported that the President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed a decree imposing economic sanctions against Turkey after the country shot down a Russian war-plane.Entering into force immediately,the Presidential decree said a ban of charter flights from Russia to Turkey will be introduced,and Russian tourism operators should stop selling tour packages to Turkey.Also,Turkish transportation companies shall be restricted in their operations in Russian Territories,while the import of certain goods from Turkey will be halted.
