 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East. STUDENTS FROM A UNIVERSITY IN KENYA TODAY,JUMPED OUT FROM A BUILDING AFTER SEVERAL GUNSHOTS WERE FIRED.

               Police in Kenya conducted aa mock security exercise at a campus in Kenya's capital today monday that sparked panic over a feared attack.Japheth Koome,the police commander in the capital told pressmen that ''It was a mock exercise,we wanted to check on alertness of emergency services''.While other sources claimed that ''Terror drill in a Kenya university left scores injured as panic gripped students,lecturers and administrators.Gunshots were fired during the surprise drill at the Strathmore University at noon {EAT} on monday.Scores of students were injured during the drill as they tried to escape from lectures halls''.More photos below.
