 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East. SUPREME COURT PICKS THURSDAY,FOR SENATOR BUKOLA SARAKI'S HEARING.

                    The Supreme Court decision to hear the appeal this week was contained in the hearing notices sent to parties in the case today.Senator Saraki is challenging the decision of the Code of Conduct Tribunal {CCT} to assume jurisdiction over the false asset declaration charges brought against him by the Code of Conduct Burea {CCB}.The Court of Appeal,in a split decision of two to one upheld that the CCT's jurisdiction to hear the charges,a decision Saraki appealed at the Supreme Court.The Supreme Court had on November twelve directed the CCT to suspend proceedings in the trial pending the determination of the appeal.So now the Supreme Court has picked this week thursday for the hearing on the appeal.One more photo below.
