 UK approves sweeping law to ban cigarette sales for future generations  The United Kingdom has taken a major step toward eliminating smoking among future generations after lawmakers approved sweeping legislation that bans the sale of cigarettes and other tobacco products to anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 2009. The measure, one of the most aggressive anti-tobacco efforts globally, ensures that today’s children will never be legally sold cigarettes. It also outlaws the sale and supply of herbal smoking products and cigarette papers to the same age group, while introducing a nationwide ban on snus, an oral tobacco product. The law establishes strict enforcement measures, including fines for retailers who fail to verify ages and harsher penalties for repeat violations, with courts given the authority to suspend businesses from selling tobacco or vaping products for up to a year. THE UNITED STATES WILL SANCTION SOME BURUNDI CITIZENS THAT INSTIGATED ALL THE VIOLENCE.

                The United States will sanction four current and former Burundi government officials,incuding the minister of public security,over ongoing violence in the country the White House said today monday.The White House said it has received multiple reports targeted killings,arbitrary arrests,torture and political repression by security forces in Burundi.The White House said Burundi President Pierre Nkurunziza's pursuit of a third term in office has precipitated the crisis.The White House said the crisis has forced more than 200,000 Burundians to become refugees.The executive order sanctions Alain Gillaume Bunyoni,minister of public security,Godefroid Bizimana,,deputy director-general of the national police,Godefroid Niyombare,Major general and former chief of Burundi's intelligence sevice and Cyrille Ndayirukiye,former minister of defense.The order also leaves open the possibility of additional sanctions against those who have supported violence,human rights abuses and attacks United Nation peace keeping missions.
