 Drones hit east Congo's biggest city, killing French aid worker, rebels and UN say Drone strikes hit Goma in east Congo ​on Wednesday, killing at least three people including a French aid worker, the ‌first such attack in the city since AFC/M23 rebels seized it last year, according to the group and the U.N. The AFC/M23 blamed the attack on the Congolese army, saying in a post on X that Kinshasa ​had launched drones against a densely populated urban area in the lakeside city. A senior official for U.N. children's agency UNICEF told Reuters ​that one of its employees, a French national, was killed. French President Emmanuel Macron and Hadja Lahbib, ​European Commissioner for equality, preparedness and crisis management, condemned the attack in posts on X, calling for respect for international humanitarian law and saying aid workers must never be targeted. 246 STUDENTS,AWARDED SCHOLARSHIP BY THE UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN.

                        According to the University of Ilorin Bullein issued today wednesday,it states that the Senate of the University has awarded scholarships to 246 students during the 2014/2015 academic session and the gesture was in recognition of the students brilliant academic performances at their various levels across all faculties of the university.The bulletin stated the breakdown of the awards in which 12 students from the Faculty of Agriculture,32 students from the Faculty of Arts,14 from the Faculty of Basic Medical Science and six from the Faculty of Clinical Science.16 from the Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences,37 from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.Gurther breakdown showed that one student from the faculty of Environmental Sciences,13 students from the Faculty of Law,16 from the Faculty of Life Sciences,12 from the Faculty of Management Sciences and six from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences,among others.The bulletin state that the Vice-Chancellor,Prof.Abdul-Ganiyu Ambali,noted that the scholarship award was ''Basically to reward hard work and to serve as morale booster for the recipients while it will further motivate and encourage other students to strive hard to attain that great height''.He further commended the University scholars and advised other students to attach seriousness to their studies for them to be recipients of the award in the 2015/2016 academic session.One more photo below.                                                                                                      UNILORIN awards scholarship to 246 students
