 ZULUM URGES ISLAMIC SCHOLARS TO PREACH MODESTY; GIFTS N1 MILLION EACH TO 30 INDIMI-SPONSORED QUR’AN GRADUATES Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has gifted N1 million each to 30 graduating students of the Indimi Trust Islamic Centre who successfully memorised the Holy Qur’an under the sponsorship of renowned philanthropist and businessman, Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi. The event which held at the Indimi Mosque along old Damboa Road in Maiduguri, celebrated about 30 graduates fully sponsored by Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi through the Indimi Islamic Trust. Indimi, the founder has consistently supported education in the North East and across Nigeria. His foundation has championed educational causes, including a recent N2 billion donation to the University of Maiduguri education endowment fund. Several Islamic scholars, Senior Government officials and members of the business community from across the state attended the occasion.

246 STUDENTS,AWARDED SCHOLARSHIP BY THE UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN.

                        According to the University of Ilorin Bullein issued today wednesday,it states that the Senate of the University has awarded scholarships to 246 students during the 2014/2015 academic session and the gesture was in recognition of the students brilliant academic performances at their various levels across all faculties of the university.The bulletin stated the breakdown of the awards in which 12 students from the Faculty of Agriculture,32 students from the Faculty of Arts,14 from the Faculty of Basic Medical Science and six from the Faculty of Clinical Science.16 from the Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences,37 from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.Gurther breakdown showed that one student from the faculty of Environmental Sciences,13 students from the Faculty of Law,16 from the Faculty of Life Sciences,12 from the Faculty of Management Sciences and six from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences,among others.The bulletin state that the Vice-Chancellor,Prof.Abdul-Ganiyu Ambali,noted that the scholarship award was ''Basically to reward hard work and to serve as morale booster for the recipients while it will further motivate and encourage other students to strive hard to attain that great height''.He further commended the University scholars and advised other students to attach seriousness to their studies for them to be recipients of the award in the 2015/2016 academic session.One more photo below.                                                                                                      UNILORIN awards scholarship to 246 students
