 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. A VIGILANTE MAN,WAS ARRESTED YESTERDAY IN OGUN STATE FOR ARMED ROBBERY.

                According to sources,yesterday wednesday,a man who claimed to be a member of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria,VGN,Mr Adesiyan Adeniyi,has been arrested by men of the Sagamu Police Command for alleged armed robbery.He was arrested in possession of a stolen unregistered motorcycle and a locally made double barrel gun with 20 live cartridges.Police operatives who had placed the suspect undersurveillance arrested him at Ewusi area,Makun,Sagamu in Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun state on wednesday afternoon.A statemment today thursday by the Ogun Police spokeperson,DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi,said preliminary investigation has revealed that the suspect,who claims to be a Vigilante official.,has been terrorizing the good people of Sagamu and robbing them of their belongings on several occasions.The Commissioner of Police Oggun state,CP Abdulmajid Ali,has therefore directed thorough investigation into the matter to ascertain the membership of the suspect of Vigilante Group of Nigeria and uncover some of his previous criminal acts in the area.The Commissioner of Police has also promised to censor members of the Vigilante and Neighbourhood Watch in the state,with a view to auditing their operations.
