 Germany and Austria to tap oil reserves after 400 million barrels requested  Germany and Austria announced they are releasing portions of their oil reserves in response to an International Energy Agency request for member nations to collectively release 400 million barrels to help ease rising energy prices linked to the Iran conflict. Japan also said it will begin releasing part of its reserves starting Monday. The move marks one of the largest coordinated releases of emergency oil stocks in history. The previous record came in 2022, when IEA members released 182.7 million barrels following the energy disruptions caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Member countries currently hold over 1.2 billion barrels of public emergency oil stocks, along with an additional 600 million barrels of industry stocks maintained under government requirements. BURUNDI PRESIDENT 'NKURUNZIZA',THREATENS TODAY TO FIGHT AU PEACEKEEPERS IMPOSED ON HIS COUNTRY.

                  Today wednesday,Burundi's President Pierre Nkurunziza threatened to fight any African Union peacekeepers imposed on his country,in his most confrontational comments yet mounting political crisis according to Reuters.Nkurunziza said in comments broadcast on their state radio that ''Everyone has to respect Burundi borders,.In case they violate those principles,they will have attacked the country and every Burudian will stand up and fight against them..The country will have been attacked and it will respond''.Other government officials have already said any peacekeepers arriving without Burudi's permission would violate it's sovereignty.The African Union said this month of December that it was ready to send 5,000 peacekeepers to protect civilians caught up in months of violence in Burundi,invoking for the first time powers to intervene in a members state against its will.One more photo below.
