 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. Lagos Assembly confirms Odukale as LSSTF board chairman                                                       Today tuesday,the Lagos State House of Assembly confirmed Ambode's nominee for the position of the Chairman of Board of Lagos State Security Trust Fund {LSSTF},Mr Oye Hassan Odukale.Mr Odukale said that he was surprised that he was nominated for the position by the Governor.Mr Odukale who is currently the Managing Director of Leadway Assurance Plc said that his motive is to raise money for the fund through the private sector and that his company has contributed immensely to the fund in the past.According to him,the board of LSSTF has eight members and the fund is ment to equip all security agencies such as the police,army and the Department of the State Security Service {DSS}.He further said that ''It is a volunteer work for me to raise money for the state through my network and those of others on the board.We need to win the trust of the people that are contributing to the fund and widen the net of the contribution''.
