 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. PDP DECLARED WADA AS THE WINNER OF THE 2015,GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION IN KOGI STATE YESTERDAY.

                       Governor Idris Wada was declared yesterday the winner of the 2015 governorship election.According to the party PDP {Peoples Democratic Party}.According to the party,its standard bearer at the polls on November 21 and December 5 scored 201,877 votes against All Progressives Congress {APC} Yahaya Bello's 6,885 votes at the supplementary election.The PDP said Wada had more votes than Bello and therefore,should be returned by INEC.The election which the Independent National Electoral Commission {INEC} declared inconclusive on November 21,was deemed to have been concluded at the weekend,with voting in 91 polling units across 18 local government areas.It was won by Bello of the APC.Bello was named the party's candidate following the November 22 death of its former candidate Prince Abubakar Audu,who looked good to unseat Wada after polling 240,876 votes on November 21.But the PDD's National Publicity Secretary,Olisa Metuh,described Bello's declaration as winner of the poll by the electoral umpire as a waste of time that will not stand.One more photo below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
