Freddie Jackson, R&B Legend Behind “You Are My Lady” and “Rock Me Tonight,” Dies at 70 R&B has lost one of its most unmistakable voices. Freddie Jackson, the singer whose smooth delivery helped define romantic R&B during the 1980s and gave generations of listeners songs including “You Are My Lady,” “Rock Me Tonight (For Old Times Sake)” and “Have You Ever Loved Somebody,” has died. He was 70. Jackson’s death was announced Tuesday, October 6, through his verified Instagram account. According to the memorial shared by his family and team, the singer died Monday night, October 5. The announcement did not disclose a cause of death. “It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Freddie Jackson,” the statement read, describing the singer as a generous soul who loved his fans, family, friends and music. THE BIGGEST JESUS CHRIST STATUE,TO BE UNVEILED TOMORROW IN IMO STATE.

                       A Nigerian businessman will unveil the statue that he says is the biggest one of its kind,describing it as a symbol of peace in Nigeria.Obinna Onuoha commissioned the 8.53m tall ''Jesus de Greatest'' statue in 2013,hiring a Chinese company to carve it out of white marble.The 40 ton statue of Jesus standing barefoot with arms outstretched will tower over St.Aloysius Catholic Church in the mainly Christian village of Abajah in Nigeria's south eastern state .43 Onuoha  old chief executive officer of an oil and gas distribution company said ''It's going to be the biggest statue of Jesus on the continent''.Around 1000 pilgrims are expected to attend the statue's unveiling tomorrow New Year's day.Onuoha further said that he has contracted the police to ensure that the statue is not attacked or vandalized.One more photo below.
