 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. VICE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA OSINBAJO,ARRIVED BURKINA FASO TODAY FOR THEIR PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION.

              Vice President Yemi Osinbajo {SAN} represented President Muhammadu Buhari today at the inauguration of a new and democratically elected president of Burkina Faso,Roch Marc Christian Kabore.Kabore emerged the winner last month after their general elections in Burkina Faso.Earlier in September 2015,President Buhari had presided over an Extra-ordinary session of ECOWAS leaders in Abuja regarding a military coup that took place that month in Burkina Faso.The meeting called for the restoration of civil rule and supported the progress of the political transition.This culminated in the November presidential and parliamentary elections in the country.Osinbajo represented President Bhari at the follow up meeting of select ECOWAS leaders in the nation's capital city Ouagadougou.That meeting contributed to the termination of the military coup and restoration of Burkina Faso's democratic transition.More photos below.
