 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East. 12 PEOPLE CONFIRMED DEAD TODAY,AS A GHASTLY ACCIDENT OCCURRED AROUND AGBOR SAPELE ROAD.

                    Today wednesday,a tragic motor accident that occurred along the Agbor-Sapele road,byy the bye-pass in Benin,has reportedly claimed 12 lives.The accident involved an articulated truck,a car and a 14 seater Toyota Hiace bus marked BEN 621 YY,all said to be coming from the Delta state axis of the road.Eye witnesses who blamed the accident on break failure said the truck rammed into the bus and the car.Bodies of the victims were said to have littered the road as motorists and sympathizers made effort to rescue other victims still trapped in the wreckages of the vehicles.Many of the victims were said to have died few minutes after they were brought out of the bus.The survivors were rushed to the Benin Centra Hospital.Edo sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps ,/Mr Oluwasusi Familoni,confirmed the accident.
