 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. 12 PEOPLE CONFIRMED DEAD TODAY,AS A GHASTLY ACCIDENT OCCURRED AROUND AGBOR SAPELE ROAD.

                    Today wednesday,a tragic motor accident that occurred along the Agbor-Sapele road,byy the bye-pass in Benin,has reportedly claimed 12 lives.The accident involved an articulated truck,a car and a 14 seater Toyota Hiace bus marked BEN 621 YY,all said to be coming from the Delta state axis of the road.Eye witnesses who blamed the accident on break failure said the truck rammed into the bus and the car.Bodies of the victims were said to have littered the road as motorists and sympathizers made effort to rescue other victims still trapped in the wreckages of the vehicles.Many of the victims were said to have died few minutes after they were brought out of the bus.The survivors were rushed to the Benin Centra Hospital.Edo sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps ,/Mr Oluwasusi Familoni,confirmed the accident.
