 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. 5 KENYAN POLICE KILLED AFTER THEIR TRUCK HITS EXPLOSIVE DEVICE,YESTERDAY.

              According to Reuters,five Kenyan policemen were killed yesterday tuesday in the coastal county of Lamu after truck hit an improvised explosive device planted on the road by Islamist militants al-Shabaab.A senior regional official said ''The truck had about 10 administration police officers and the explosive that blew it up seemed to have been planted on the road they were using''.Senior officials and police declined to give official statement on the attack,saying it was sensitive,and that they still awaited detailed report from officers on the ground.But Lamu Governor Issa Timamy said ''It is unfortunate that once again the nation is mourning the deaths of our five officers killed at the hands of the al-Shabaab''.Meanwhile Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab,al-Shaab's military operation spokesman told Reuters that ''We killed eight Kenyan soldiers after we burnt their car with a roadside boom near Lamu area''.The attack comes less than two weekss after Somali Islamist militants al Shabaab attacked a military camp housing Kenyan soldiers who are part of an African Union {AU} force in Somalia {AMISOM}.One more photo below.
