 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. 5 KENYAN POLICE KILLED AFTER THEIR TRUCK HITS EXPLOSIVE DEVICE,YESTERDAY.

              According to Reuters,five Kenyan policemen were killed yesterday tuesday in the coastal county of Lamu after truck hit an improvised explosive device planted on the road by Islamist militants al-Shabaab.A senior regional official said ''The truck had about 10 administration police officers and the explosive that blew it up seemed to have been planted on the road they were using''.Senior officials and police declined to give official statement on the attack,saying it was sensitive,and that they still awaited detailed report from officers on the ground.But Lamu Governor Issa Timamy said ''It is unfortunate that once again the nation is mourning the deaths of our five officers killed at the hands of the al-Shabaab''.Meanwhile Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab,al-Shaab's military operation spokesman told Reuters that ''We killed eight Kenyan soldiers after we burnt their car with a roadside boom near Lamu area''.The attack comes less than two weekss after Somali Islamist militants al Shabaab attacked a military camp housing Kenyan soldiers who are part of an African Union {AU} force in Somalia {AMISOM}.One more photo below.
