PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday. A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria. Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. He later served as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and International Relations before he was appointed Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. Today tuesday five persons died in an accident involving a Mercedes Benz truck and a Mazda bus at Sagamu on the Lagos Ibadan Expressway in Ogun state.The Sector Commander of the FRSC in Ogun state Mr Adegoke Adetunji who confirmed the incident said that the bus lost control and ran into the truck which was also on motion from the rear.23 people were involved in the accident,with five confirmed dead while 16 sustained injuries.The Mazda bus and the Mercedes Benz truck were travelling to Ibadan before they rammed into each other.''We understand that the bus,which was on a high speed,lost control and rammed into the moving truck and was torn into pieces because of its bad shape.The bus was not in good shape and was not supposed to be on the road.The corpses of the victims had been deposited at the Olabisi Onaabanjo University Teaching Hospital mortuary in Sagamu while the injured were also being treated in the health facility.
