Alleged $1.5m Fraud: Witness Tells Court Funds Came into Defendant’s Account in Multiple Tranches The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday, June 29, 2026, presented its third prosecution witness (PW3), Levi Amanda Opice, a Compliance Officer with Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank), in the ongoing trial of Ifoma Immanuel before Justice Mojisola Dada of the Lagos State Special Offences Court, Ikeja, over an alleged $1.5 million fraud. Immanuel is standing trial alongside his company, Intermediate Investment Holdings Limited, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and forgery involving the sum of $1.5 million. According to the EFCC, investigations revealed that the defendant allegedly induced Adebisi Adebutu of R28 Holdings Limited to invest $1.5 million by claiming that the funds would be used to finance projects linked to Chappal Petroleum Development Company Limited, Intermediate Investment Holdings Limited, and Chappal Ener...
According to Mr Okechukwu Dibor who reported with pictures on today sunday how two Awka ladies saved another lady in a club in Awka Anambra state on New year eve after her boyfriend attacked her with punches.She received punches from her boyfriend {who drives a keke}, that his drnking too much,that is how the boyfriend started attacking her and two women jumped in to save the lady from her partially drunk boyfriend.Mr Dibor wrote ''We must report good deeds.2 Awaka women came together and defended a girl in Awka who was being abused and brutalised by her boyfriend.They went out together for new year eve at a pub {club},the man was drinking too much and the girl advised that he ought to slow down.one thing lead to another and he started punching her.The 2 ladies rose to the occasion and fought galantly to save the girl.She delivered a couple of hot slaps to the man in defense of the girl and this allowed the girl to escape to a safe place.Every effort by the brave Awaka ladies to settle the matter and calm the violent man proved difficult.So they prevented him from getting near her until she has recovered from her shock and injuries.The girl was decieved into wearing a fake gold ring which he put on her finger inside eke Awka market.There was no witness to the fake marriage.The girl removved the ring and threw it away.Here you see the man trying to recover the ring ffrom the gutter where it truely belongs''.''.more photos below.
