 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. A SECURITY GUARD WAS ARRESTED FOR STEALING,FROM HIS EMPLOYER IN LAGOS.

                    A 27 year old security guard identified as Philip Adeleke from Saki in Oyo state,was accused by the police in Lagos state of stealing several engineering equipment worth N820,000 from his employer's store.He was arraigned today monday at an Igbosere Magistrates Court in Lagos on a two count charge of breaking and entering and stealing.Prosecuting Sergeant Nicholas Akpene standing in for Sergeant Babatope Julius told the court that the defendant who came to Lagos in 2008,was employed as a guard at a construction site at Ikate Elegushi when he allegedly committed the offences.He further alleged that on December 28,2015 the defendant ,broke into a store at the site and stole a 7.5 KVA KIPOR generator,Steel Scaffold,Acro props pipes and a pumping machine all valued at N820,000,property of one Charles Iwobho.However,the defendant denied both charges and was granted bail of N100,000 with two sureties in the like sum.The case was adjourned till January 19,2016.
