A MANHUNT IS UNDERWAY FOR MAN WHO SHOT A GRANITE CITY POLICE OFFICER MULTIPLE TIMES.(PHOTO).

  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. A SWISS WOMAN WAS ABDUCTED IN MALI YESTERDAY FOR THE SECOND TIME.

                Yesterday thursday,a woman {Beatrice Stockly} was kidnapped from a house in Northern Mali town of Timbuktu turns out to be a Swiss citizen,that is according to the Malian army spokesman Souleymane Maiga said today friday.He gave no further details about her kidnap.Sources claimed that she is the same missionary who was held for more than a week by Islamist gunmen in 2012 when the north had been taken over by groups linked to al-Qaeda.On that occasion the woman was freed with the help  of mediators from neighbouring Burkina Faso.More photos below.
