 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. AT LEAST 65 PEOPLE WERE KILLED,AFTER BOKO HARAM ATTACKED A VILLAGE IN BORNO YESTERDAY.

                          At least 65 people were killed during an attack by Islamist militant group Boko Haram near the northeastern city of Maiduguri,a Reuters reporter said after counting bodies at a hospital morgue.The remains of a dozen victims were burnt beyond recognition in yesterday saturday's attack when militants opened fire on residents,set fire to their houses and targeted a crowd with suicide bombers.A Nigerian military spokesman,Colonel Mustapha Ankass,said that Boko Haram militants attacked the community of Dalori,about 5 km {3miles} east of Maiduguri in Borno state.Ankas said insurgents entered Dalori in two cars and on motocycles and opened fire on residents and burned down houses.''While people were running for their dear lives....three female suicide bombers attempted to make their way into the crowd...and subsequently got blown up''.An official of the state emergency agency who was at the scene said there were 12 bodies burnt beyond recognition.We can't even pick those ones,they were seriously burnt'',the official who declined to be named said.One more photo below.
