 RE: MISLEADING CLAIMS REGARDING EXTORTION OF MOTORISTS BY LAGOS STATE TASKFORCE – YET-TO-BE-IDENTIFIED SECURITY OPERATIVES: ANOTHER CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY The Lagos State Taskforce wishes to address a misleading narrative circulating on social media, particularly in a viral video shared by protesters and concerned groups who recently demonstrated at the Lagos State House of Assembly. The protest was in response to the alleged extortion of motorists by security operatives, yet to be identified, who are not officials of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit. We categorically state that the Lagos State Taskforce had no involvement in the said incident. Our enforcement teams are led by seasoned, well-trained, and highly disciplined senior officers who are far too professional and educated to jeopardise their ranks, integrity, and years of service for personal gain. EX-LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN OF KADUNA SOUTH,ARRAIGNED FOR FRAUD TODAY BY THE EFCC.

                                                                         EFCC {Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on January 15,arraigned a former Chairman of Kaduna South LGA,Bala Isa Idris before a High Court in Kaduna stste on one count charge that borders on advance fee fraud.The accused allegedly obtained the sum of N3,000,000 from one Alhaji Bashir Ahmed when he fraudulently sold a plot of land belonging to the council,situated at Mechanic village,Kurmin Mashi,Kaduna state to him with the false claim that he had the authority to dispose the piece of land.The accused pleaded not guilty to charge read and was granted bail in the sum of N1,000,000 and one surety in like sum.The surety must be a civil servant not below grade level 12.The case was adjourned to March 10,2016 for commencement of trial.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
