 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System. EX-LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN OF KADUNA SOUTH,ARRAIGNED FOR FRAUD TODAY BY THE EFCC.

                                                                         EFCC {Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on January 15,arraigned a former Chairman of Kaduna South LGA,Bala Isa Idris before a High Court in Kaduna stste on one count charge that borders on advance fee fraud.The accused allegedly obtained the sum of N3,000,000 from one Alhaji Bashir Ahmed when he fraudulently sold a plot of land belonging to the council,situated at Mechanic village,Kurmin Mashi,Kaduna state to him with the false claim that he had the authority to dispose the piece of land.The accused pleaded not guilty to charge read and was granted bail in the sum of N1,000,000 and one surety in like sum.The surety must be a civil servant not below grade level 12.The case was adjourned to March 10,2016 for commencement of trial.One more photo below.
