 Tech entrepreneur Lucy Guo has become the world’s youngest self-made woman billionaire at the age of 30, overtaking pop superstar Taylor Swift, who is 35.  This major achievement comes as her former company, Scale AI, is set for a big financial deal. According to Forbes, Scale AI’s new valuation has jumped to $25 billion—an 80% increase from last year. The upcoming tender offer on June 1 will allow early investors and employees to sell their shares, giving Guo a huge boost in net worth. Lucy Guo co-founded Scale AI in 2016. The company helps train artificial intelligence systems by organizing data for companies like OpenAI and even the U.S. government. Guo, a first-generation Chinese-American from the Bay Area, learned to code in middle school and later joined the Thiel Fellowship—a program that gives young people $100,000 to start businesses instead of going to college.                                                                Today wednesday it was reported that Governor Akinwunmi Ambode approved the appointment of Ptofessor Olanrewaju Adigun Fagbohun as the 8th substative Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University {LASU}.The appointment was contained in a statement signed today wednesday by the state's Commissioner for information and strategy,Mr Steve Ayorinde.According to the statement,following the expiration of the tenure of Professor John Oladapo Obafunwa as the 7th substantive Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University on 31st October,2015,the Deputy Vice-Chancellor {Administration},Professor Fidelis Olisamedua Njokanma assumedthe position of Acting Vice-Chancellor.Professor Olanrewaju Adigun Fagbohun,is a Prosser of Environmental Law,was until his appointment Director of Research at the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies.He was born on 19th October,1966 and hails from Akesan in the Alimosho Local Government area of Lagos State.He joined the Faculty of Law of the Lagos State University {LASU} as an Assistant Lecturer in January 1991.He rose through the ranks and by the year 2004,he was appointed Associate Professor.See how time flies,in early 2000's in LASU Laws Professor Fagbohun taught me and now  his the new V.C.I know by now my set of 2001 will be so pleased to hear these news.Congrats to him.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
