 RE: MISLEADING CLAIMS REGARDING EXTORTION OF MOTORISTS BY LAGOS STATE TASKFORCE – YET-TO-BE-IDENTIFIED SECURITY OPERATIVES: ANOTHER CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY The Lagos State Taskforce wishes to address a misleading narrative circulating on social media, particularly in a viral video shared by protesters and concerned groups who recently demonstrated at the Lagos State House of Assembly. The protest was in response to the alleged extortion of motorists by security operatives, yet to be identified, who are not officials of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit. We categorically state that the Lagos State Taskforce had no involvement in the said incident. Our enforcement teams are led by seasoned, well-trained, and highly disciplined senior officers who are far too professional and educated to jeopardise their ranks, integrity, and years of service for personal gain. KOGI POLICE PATROL YESTERDAY RECOVERED ARMS FROM A CAR+PHOTOS FROM LAI MOHAMMED'S VISIT TO POLICE HEADQUARTERS.

               Yesterday monday the Nigerian Police at about 6:pm in Kogi state,Police patrol team while returning to base from day duty highway patrol,on reaching Oziokutu in Adavi Local Government Area stopped and searched an ash coloured Nissan Almera car with Registration number.Kogi LKJ 01 MW.The four {4} occupants of the vehicle suddenly stopped the vehicle and ran away when they saw the police vehicle approaching.The police recovered from the abandoned vehicles area one {1} AK-47 rifle with breech No.56-2.400577 with three {3} rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition,one {1} pump action gun with four {4} live cartridges and four {4} black masks.Recovered items were taken to the Police Station and the case is still under investigation.The Minister of Infformation Alhaji Lai Mohammed pays Police Force Headquarters in Abuja a visit today tuesday.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
