 Sudan urges displaced citizens abroad to return home Sudan has called on all displaced citizens living abroad to return home, as the government steps up efforts to facilitate voluntary repatriation and remove barriers facing returnees. Prime Minister Kamil Idris said his office is committed to easing the return process and ensuring citizens can actively contribute to rebuilding the country, state media SUNA reports. Speaking during a visit to the Ashkeit border crossing in Wadi Halfa, Idris said authorities have taken steps to eliminate illegal levies and ensure that returning citizens are not subjected to additional fees, compulsory charges or arbitrary customs duties. He noted that such practices had previously placed an unnecessary burden on citizens without benefiting the state. LASSA FEVER OUTBREAK IN RIVERS STATE,CLAIMED 2 LIVES.

                             Rivers state Government has just confirmed the outbreak of LASA Fever in the state,which has claimed the lives of two persons so far.The River state Commissioner for Health,Dr.Theophilous Odageme who confirmed the outbreak today in a statement enjoined the members of the public not to panic because the state government had taken a proactive measure to contain an outbreak.The statement urged members of the public to report any of such symptoms as persistenthigh fever,stooling,vomiting,bleeding from the nose,mouth and anus.He advised members of the public to maintain good hygiene and quickly report any case of Lassa Fever to the nearest Health Centre or Hospital urgent attention.One more photo below.
