 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room. NIGERIAN TROOPS RECENTLY FREED 370 HOSTAGES AND KILLED MANY TERRORISTS.

                 According to sources,Nigerian troops have killed dozens of insurgents,destroyed camps,rescued 370 hostages and recovered arms and ammunition of various calibre.Addressing a press conference in Borno,the deputy theatre commander in charge of operations,Lucky Irabor,said the ongoing offensive led to the death of the terrorists in the past few days.''As part of the promise of the Theatre Command to keep the public informed of our activities,this press conference has been organised to brief on the activities of the troops in the past few days.Accordingly,in furtherance of the ongoing offensive operation to clear Boko Haram Terrorist {BHT} in the Northeast,on 17 January troops conducted a clearance operation at Shentimari general area and cleared Boko Haram enclaves and recovered 78 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.Similarly,on 18 January att Chukun Gudu,troops encountered and destroyed terrorist's camps along Jillam,Bula Butube general areas.During the exchange of fire,10 terrorists were killed,2 AKA47 Rifles,2 AK 47 magazines,2 solar paanels and 2 GSM handsets were recovered,while 1 Isuzu vehicle was destroyed.On 20 January 2016,troops cleared terrorist camps/enclaves at Ngwalimiri and Gazama in Damboa Local Government Area.While conucting operations in Mufurundi village along Damboa-Bale road,our gallant troops intercepted 10 Boko Haram suspects from Bego,Mesemarri and Bale villages carrying bags containing food condiments,soaps,and other items.Suspects are presently undergoing interrogation.Also troops had an encounter with terrorists during advance from Wajirok to Ajigin.During the encounter,3 of the terrorists were killed '' etc.More photos below.
