 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.                      Protests erupted across the Muslim world after Saudi Arabia executed Shite Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr.He had been convinced on terrorism charges,but was also a vocal critic of the Sunni-led,Saudi government.In Shite-majority Iran,the Sheikh's death made headlines,sparking an attack on the Saudi embassy in Tehran.Protesters also renamed the street outside it for the Sheikh.And the nation's supreme religious leader condemned the killing.Ayatollah Al-Khamenei,Iranian Supreme leader said ''Those who make policies,execute them,and decision makers of Saudi government should not have any doubt that this blood will trouble them.It will harass them''.Adel Al-Jubeir Saudi Foreign Minister ''In light of these facts,the kingdom announces severing diplomatic relations with Iran,and requests that all members of the diplomatic mission at the embassy,consulate and affiliated offices leave within 48 hours''.
