 Zango Kataf, Jaba PDP Committees Hold Reconciliation Meeting Ahead Of 2027 Elections The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Working Committees in Zango Kataf and Jaba Local Government Areas have held a strategic reconciliation meeting aimed at strengthening party unity and positioning the party for success in the 2027 general elections. The meeting, held on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Jaba Local Government Area, was jointly chaired by the PDP Chairmen of Jaba and Zango Kataf LGAs, Sabastine David Bijiri and Martins Markus Koyah. It brought together party executives, stakeholders, ward officials, elders, youth and women leaders, as well as members from both local government areas. Speaking at the meeting, the Zango Kataf PDP Chairman commended party leaders and members for supporting the zoning of the party’s House of Representatives ticket to Zango Kataf Local Government Area. THE ITALIAN NAVY,RESCUED 290 MIGRANTS & RECOVERED 6 DEAD BODIES TODAY FROM A RUBBER BOAT.

                    Today thursday,a spokesman said Italy's navy rescued 290 migrants and recovered six bodies from the water near a half-sunken rubber boat.The navy rescued 109 migrants from a large rubber boat in the morning,and then 107 from a second boat a few hours later.When the navy arrived at a third rubber craft,it was sinking.They managed to pull 74 to safety,but six bodies were recovered from the water.A navy helicopter is continuing to search for survivors.The seas route to Italy from Africa is the most dangerous border for migrants in the world.The sea route to Italy from  Africa is the most dangerous border for migrants in the world.Of the more than 3,700 migrant deaths in the Mediterranean in 2015,about 2,000 perished on the way to Italy from North Africa.One more photo below.
