Army sergeant’s wife deported to Honduras amid Trump administration’s immigration crackdown on military families The wife of an Army sergeant and mother of a 6-year-old was deported to Honduras Monday, as the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown increasingly affects spouses and parents of active-duty military personnel. Army Sgt. Hedar Leonel Turcios Juarez confirmed that his wife, Cristy Maryori Villafranca Trejo, had been deported. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Villafranca outside a Walmart in July while the couple’s young daughter was present, according to her husband. Villafranca had left Honduras in 2016 because of violence, he said. Turcios Juarez came to the United States from Honduras in 2014 for similar reasons. After attending high school in the U.S., he joined the Army and became a U.S. citizen in 2024 following a nine-month deployment to the Middle East. According to sources,a female passenger was found dead inside a lavatory at the department hall of the international wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos yesterday.It was however learnt that the woman was on her way too the UAE to seek for medical attention.She is said to have complained of slight pain after which she went to the lavatory.She however did not return to the departture hall,and her body was discovered by an aviation security official who alerted medixcal personnel at the airport.Her body was deposited at the mortuary of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital {LUTH} while investigation is in progress to determine the cause of her death.One more photo below.
