 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. AT LEAST 52 PEOPLE DIED,AFTER RIOT ERUPTED AT A PRISON IN NORTHERN MEXICO,TODAY.

                        Today thursday about an hour ago according to sources,a riot erupted at a prison in northern Mexico,killing at least 52 people and 12 others injured.The violence at Topo Chico Prison in Monterrey began shortly after midnight,and residents told local news outlets that they had heard explosions and shouting from inside the prison.The death toll,which is believed to include inmate as well as prison guards,could not be confirmed.The government said no prisoners escaped.Soldiers,state police officers  and the Monterrey police surrounded the prison as relatives of the inmates gathered outside to wait for news.The riot was brought under control around 1;30 am Mexico time.More photos below.
