 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.              Yesterday wednesday the 24th of February 2016 at 10:30pm,one Nkiru Odili,of Omelugboma,Asaba reported at the police station that 8:00am of same date,her brother identified as Emeka Odili and his girlfriend Blessing {last name unknown} took her son identified as 3 year old Chukwuneku Adikwu from Omelugbonma to Onitsha in Anambra State to sell.Luck ran against the duo as they were subsequently arrested and the child rescued.Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects had sold their own biological child earlier.Investigation is still in progress.Then on the 23rd of February,2016 at 2:30pm,acting on information,police sting operatives arrested one Musa Kusa.The suspects confessed to have stolen ten cars and sold them off to receivers in Kano and Sokoto States.He also confessed that a man in Kano State supplies him with car keys.The case is also under investigation.More photos below.
