 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.              Yesterday wednesday the 24th of February 2016 at 10:30pm,one Nkiru Odili,of Omelugboma,Asaba reported at the police station that 8:00am of same date,her brother identified as Emeka Odili and his girlfriend Blessing {last name unknown} took her son identified as 3 year old Chukwuneku Adikwu from Omelugbonma to Onitsha in Anambra State to sell.Luck ran against the duo as they were subsequently arrested and the child rescued.Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects had sold their own biological child earlier.Investigation is still in progress.Then on the 23rd of February,2016 at 2:30pm,acting on information,police sting operatives arrested one Musa Kusa.The suspects confessed to have stolen ten cars and sold them off to receivers in Kano and Sokoto States.He also confessed that a man in Kano State supplies him with car keys.The case is also under investigation.More photos below.
