  The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has dismissed a viral claim circulating on social media about the introduction of new ₦5,000 and ₦10,000 banknotes, labeling it as fake news. The claim, which included fabricated images of the supposed new denominations featuring Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Chief Obafemi Awolowo, falsely stated that the new notes would enter circulation from May 1, 2025. In a statement on its verified Facebook account, the CBN clarified that the content is not from the bank and directed the public to its official website, (www.cbn.gov.ng), for authentic information. The bank warned against spreading misinformation regarding monetary policies and urged Nigerians to rely only on official statements from its verified channels. The CBN reaffirmed that any major policy decision, including the introduction of new banknotes, would be announced through its official platforms. THE NIGERIA POLICE ARRESTED 2 GAY COUPLE ON THEIR WEDDING DAY,IN ABUJA LAST WEEK.

                   According to sources,on saturday February 6,2016 a popular hotel in Jiwa Community of Abuja,King's Land Hotel,hosted two guests who were there to celebrate their marriage,otherwise known as same sex marriage.According to sources,the stage was already set with the hall decorated awaiting the commencement of the ceremony.At about 5:30 pm many invited guests were already seated for the occasion,with invited guests,including their sponsors,the chairman of the occasion and other guests in their hundreds awaiting the commencement of the ceremony.However just as the celebrants were emerging from the car that conveyed them to the venue and were about taking their seats at the high table,men of Nigeria Police Force drafted from the Gwagwa Police Station swooped down on them and promptly arrested them.The suspects who live in Jiwa Community are said to be indigenes of Kaduna State.Eyewitnesses said many other persons,including their sponsors,chairman of the occasion and the owner of the hotel were equally arrested during the raid.According to sources,the Nigerian Police had gotten information about the marriage that was to take place in the area and had therefore sent a team of plain clothed policemen to keep surveillance of the area.It was gathered that the names of the two men were given as Abdul Lawal who is supposed to be the husband,while Umar Tahir posed as the wife.The sponsors of the marriage according to our sources are Abubakar Tahir and Mohammed Sani.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
