 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. THE NIGERIAN ARMY,AMBUSHED SOME BOKO HARAM MEMBERS YESTERDAY IN SAMBISA FOREST,KILLED SOME & SOME RAN AWAY.

                                              Today wednesday,Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director Army Public Relations at Maiduguri, said that in continuation of their exploits against the Boko Haram terrorists,troops of 81 Battalion and 251 Force Battalion,have intensified offensive actions against the terrorists.''Last night,the troops laid ambush against some elements of the Boko Haram at two of their crossing points at Komala and Musafanari general area coming from Sambisa forest.The ambush party decisively dealt with some terrorists on motorcycles in which a number of terrorists were killed and a few others flee with gunshot wounds.The troops recovered one AK45 rifle with registration number 56-2614519,in addition to a magazine containing 9 rounds of 7.62mm {Special},6 motorcycles,2 bags of salt and other assorted food items as well as various Improvised Explosive Making Devices {IEDs}.The recovered items clearly shows that the terrorists were out for a nefarious mission which was aborted by the timely ambushes.Consequent upon this,we wish to implore members of the public to kindly oblige us with timely information  on Boko Haram terrorists to enable the military and indeed the security to deal with them decisively.The troops in various axis of the theatre are poised for the clearance off the remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists in our country''.More photos below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
