TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. According CCTV,who is reporting that Uganda President Yoweri Museveni extended his three decade rule today saturday,winning a fifth term with 60 percent of the vote in the country's election.Election Commission Chief Badru Kiggundu said as he read the result ''The commission declares Yoweri Kaguta Museveni the elected President of the Republic of Uganda''.President Museveni garnered 5,67,503 votes equivalent to 60.7 percent of the votes cast.His closest rival Dr Kizza Besigye of the Forum for Democratic Change,managed 3,270,290 votes equivalent to 35.37 percent of the total votes cast.The results have been rejected as fraudulent by Besigy's Party,which issued a statement ahead of the final results.Besigye himself was under house arrest as the final tally was announced.One more photo below.
