 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. ZIKA VIRUS ENTERED SOUTH AFRICA RECENTLY,THROUGH A BUSINESSMAN.

                                       According to the South African Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi,who confirmed the first case of zika virus in their country through a Columbia business.The businessman was found to have the disease during a visit to Johannesburg.He said ''The businessman presented with Fever and a rash approximately four days after arrival in South Africa but is now fully recovered''.The World Health Organisation {WHO} declared the outbreak a global public health emergency on February 1st,noting its association with two neurological disorders-microcephaly in babies and Guillian Barre syndrome that can cause paralysis.Am wondering what measures the Nigerian government is taking to ensure they detect those carrying the zika virus into our country,to avoid un-necessary loss of lives.More photos below.
