 African Airlines record 5.7% decreased demand for air cargo in February — IATA African airlines recorded a 5.7% year-on-year decline in air cargo demand in February 2025, with capacity decreasing by 0.6% in the same period. Capacity, measured in available cargo tonne-kilometers (ACTK), dropped by 0.4%, although international operations saw a 1.1% increase. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) report showed that global capacity decreased by 0.4%, with international operations showing a slight increase of 0.4% in demand. Globally, air cargo demand fell by 0.1% compared to February 2024, marking the first decline since mid-2023. “African airlines saw a 5.7% year-on-year decrease in demand for air cargo in February. Capacity decreased by 0.6% year-on-year,” the report read in part. EGYPT IS SET TO BE EXPORTING SELF BUILT DOUBLE DECKER BUSES,TO UK.

                     According to sources,for the first time,Egypt has allocated a vehicle manufacturing line to produce British double decker buses for the British market.The line is expected to produce a total of 60 buses annually.Egyptian  Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil said ''Launching a direct line of car manufacturing for export.....shows trust in Egyptian industry''.The company produces between 8,000 to 10,000 tourism double decker,and public buses for export to markets of England,Australia,New Zealand,and Hong Kong annually.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
