Mrs Abimbola Jijoho-Ogun,a former acting General Manager of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority {LAWMA},has been appointed as the new General Manager of the Lagos State Parkss and Gardens Agency {LASPARK}.She replaces Dr.Mrs Titi Anibaba,who has been in the saddle for over three years.Jijoho-Ogun was born on the
10th of October,
1957 in Badagry Local Government Area.She attended Holy Child Secondary Secondary School,Ikoyi,from
1972-
1977 and Federal Government College Akoka,Lagos where she obtained her Higher School Certificate {A-level} in
1979.She was admitted into the University of Lagos to study Biological Science and graduated in
1982 with a 2nd Class Honours {Upper Division}.She proceeded to the University of Ibadan in
1984 for her Master's programme in zoology and also obtained another Master's degree in Public Health at the Lagos State University,Ojo in 2007.The New General Manager joined the Lagos State Civil Service as a Scientific Officer in
1986 at the Ministry for the Environment and was later deployed to Lagos State Environment Protection Agency {LASEPA} where she worked for
19 years and developed policies,standards and procedur on air,land,water and noise pollution among other responsibilities.As an environmental scientist with the Lagos State Government,Jijoho-Ogun actively participated in development of Environmental regulations review at both the state and national level.In 2006,she was deployed to the Lagos State Wastes Management Authority as the General Manager,Administration and Special Duties.The role she performed diligently until her present appointment as the General Manager of the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency {LASPARK}.More photos below.
