NAF INTENSIFIES AIRPOWER CAMPAIGN, STRENGTHENS AIR PRESENCE IN SOKOTO TO DENY TERRORISTS FREEDOM OF ACTION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its airpower campaign against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities across the North-West, with a strengthened air presence in Sokoto State to support ongoing joint security operations. The initiative reflects the Service’s determination to sustain pressure on hostile elements, enhance aerial surveillance and maintain the capacity for rapid response to emerging threats, while providing effective air support to ground forces operating within the Joint Operations Area. The strengthened air presence is particularly significant in the fight against asymmetric threats, where terrorists and bandits exploit difficult terrain, mobility and concealment to evade ground forces. According to sources,today saturday around 12:30am,fire destroyed property worth millions of Naira in Sab gari market,Kano state Nigeria.The fire that destroyed several shops also razed the footwear section of the market.According sources,at few hours ago,men of the Fire Service were still battling to control the fire.Though when the Director of the State Fire Service,Alhaji Mustpha was contacted by some pressmen,he said the fire started at about 1am and had destroyed several shops in the market.According to him,the fire started at the footwear section of the market.''Our men are still trying to put out the fire as i am talking to you now we are in the market''.Sources further said this is the second time in five months that the Sabon Gari market was gutted by fire.One more photo below.
