 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. GUNMEN ATTACKED A POLICE STATION AND A BANK,YESTERDAY IN BAYELSA STATE.

Militants sack police station in Bayelsa                                                           Suspected armed militants launched an attack on a police station and a branch of the United Bank for Africa {UBA} in Amasoma,Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.It was gathered that the gang of militants stormed the community through the waterways at about 1am yesterday friday.Shortly after arriving on a speedboat,they were said to have moved straight to the police station located in the area and engaged the police in a gun duel.The bandits who reportedly overpowered the policemen,carted away arms and ammunition from the police station.The rampaging armed robbers later visited the UBA branch with rage shooting sporadically and creating panic among residents.It was gathered that the militants threw dynamites and other explosives at the bank to create access to the banking hall.After blowing off the fence of the bank,the hoodlums were said to have tried in vain to enter the bank..One more photo below.
