Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. The Lagos State Planning and Environmental Monitoring Authority {LASPEMA} has reiterated its resolved to sanitize the car wash business in the state,pledging that all necessary measures will be taken to ensue that such business ventures comply with planning regulations and environmental laws.Engineer Olarenwaju Kazeem,the Acting Generak Manager of the Agency,who disclosed this recently while receiving the report of an assessment team at his office in Alausa,Ikeja,enjoined all individuals involved in the car wash business to abide by the state' environmental rules and regulations in order not to run foul of the law.He disclosed that a team of senior field officers from the Agency had embarked on the monitoring of the activities of car wash operators within the metropolis to assess the import of their operations on the environment particularly as it affects government's resolve to deliver on well planned and healthy environment for all residents.Earlier,Mrs Taiwo Kolaa-Oguniade,leader of the team,said an assessment exercise was carried out by officers in Alimosho,Ojodu,Ifako-Ijaiye and Amuwo-Odofin Local Government and Local Council Development Areas of the State,among others.She stated that their findings revealed that ,most car wash operators visited had no evidence of permit which contravenes planning regulations neither do they make adequate provision for security infrastructure which also negates the Lagos State standard operating procedure.Kola-Oguniade further disclosed that during the exercise,it was observed that majority of the car wash operators did not comply with the standard operating rules stipulated by the agency which include the provision of drainage facilities for proper discharge of waste water.More photos below.
