 PRESS RELEASE FCT POLICE BUST CAR THEFT SYNDICATE, RECOVER TWO STOLEN VEHICLES, AND ARREST THREE SUSPECTS. …as suspects confess to refurbishing and reselling stolen vehicles as newer models On April 11, 2025, following a distress call received by Durumi Division regarding the theft of a Toyota Corolla, 2005 model, gold in colour, with registration number KUJ 208 DA, stolen from the owner’s residence, operatives of the Division immediately swung into action. The vehicle was tracked to a workshop in Durumi, where it was discovered undergoing illegal refurbishment. The colour was being altered in an attempt to evade detection and facilitate a quick resale. A further search of the premises led to the recovery of another suspected stolen vehicle—a red Toyota Corolla with registration number GWA 844 CK—previously reported stolen from a residence in Jikwoyi.                  Today wednesday,the wife of the President of Nigeria Mrs Aisha Buhari,donated assorted relief materials to the Internally Displaced Persons {IDPs} in Benue State.Mrs Buhari,who was in Benue to empathise with the state government on the recent farmers/herdsmen crisis,was represented by the wife of the Vice President,Mrs Oludolapo Osinbajo.Donating the materials at Nogowa Secondary School,Wadata Camp,Markurdi,Mrs Buhari commiserated with the bereaved families,saying that the government was committed to their plight.She said that the Federal Government understood what the victims were passing through and assured them that government would not abandon them at this point of their sufferings.Mrs Buhari said ''I have heard and seen your cries.Cry no more,for we are with you.Today in Benue i have seen old and young men,women and children in the camp and i can see that they have gone through a lot of pains.I have seen that by their looks,it is evident that they are tired of living in the camps but they have no homes because their homes have been destroyed.We are really worried about your situation but do not lose hope we are with you,and we will never abandon you at this point of your need''.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
