 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. A KENYA MAN ''SUDI'',SENTENCED TO DEATH TODAY FOR KILLING A MUSLIM CLERIC.

                  A 44 year old Kenya man Sudi Mohamed Sudi,was sentenced to death today friday for killing {shooting} a Muslim cleric  Mohammed Idris,who had campaigned against radical interpretations of Islam.He shot him dead in 2014 in port city of Mombasa,a popular tourist destination which officials say has also become a recruiting ground for ultra hardline preachers.The cleric,chairman of the moderate Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya {CIPK},was killed near a mosque on June 10,2014.Sudi was arrested a day later and charged with the murder,which he dniedDuring the trial in Mombasa,police witnesses said they had recovered a hand grenade,a pistol,and explosive material from Sudi.A member of the Sudi's family,told pressmen that they would appeal against the ruling.One more photo below of Sudi.
