 SYPSG INAUGURATES NEW EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE IN 21 LGAs By Ifeoma Aniagbado   The Solution Youth Preneur Support Group (SYPSG) Executive Committee has been inaugurated in 21 LGAs of Anambra State to pilot the affairs of the youth in the LGAs  The inaugural ceremony which held at Government House, Awka was well attended by prominent people and some state government officials. The Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba, announced that a transformative milestone has been reached in the journey that began in October 2022, when Governor Chukwuma Soludo launched the highly acclaimed 1 Youth 2 Skills Solution initiative that marks a significant turning point, revealing a brighter future for the youth.  The Commissioner noted that the progress made so far is a testament to the governor's visionary and youth-friendly leadership.                         The Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment,Dr Babatunde Adejare has attributed the modest achievements of successive governments since 1999 in Lagos State to sheer passion,determination and hard work,and not magic.Dr Adejare stated this in response to the commendations of the Managing Director of Awka Capital Development Authority,Architect Michael Okonkwo,who led a special delegation sent by the Anambra State Governor,Mr Willie Obiano to understudy what he described as a ''revolution in environmental management'' in Lagos State.The Commissioner said that ''With the kind of zeal,dedication and passion wich former Governor,Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his successors put into the daunting challenge of waste management since 1999,it is no surprise that the mountain of refuse and the toga of dirtiest state,which were inherited had to give way to the lush,green and aethetically beautiful Lagos we are savoring today.But i believe that with the same single mindedness and passion so far shown by the Willie Obiano team,i am convinced that,though not easy,Anambra is set to replicate the progress in Lagos.Dr Adejare however said that,in spite of the local and international recognition of the progress in Lagos the state government is not satisfied yet and is already initiating a reform of waste management service,to get to the next level''.Assuring the visitors that with the rapport between the two states,pessimists who assumed that current political differences will be an impediment are bound to be disappointed,adding that ''Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has directed the Ministry to give your team all the co-operation you deserve''.He noted also that those who have been sowing the seed of ethnic discord between the two states and their people should now realize that the Igbo and Yoruba have so many things in common,stressing that,''Lagos is home to all''..Also included in the Anambra delegation on the three day study tour are the Former Chairman of Idemili Local government,Mr Raphael Nnabuife and the Senior Special Assistant o Governor Obiano on Environmental Matters,Mrs Florence Oraedu.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.  Punish my abusers within 48 hours or face lawsuit - Student bullied by her classmates threaten school authorities The bullied student of British Lead International School, Miss. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her. Namtira said if the school authorities fail to sanction the student bullies within 48 hours of the receipt of the letter, she would seek immediate and severe legal redress against the school.
