Judge rejects Amy Winehouse's father’s lawsuit over sale of singer’s personal items A London judge has ruled against Mitch Winehouse in a legal dispute over the sale of personal belongings once owned by his late daughter, singer Amy Winehouse. Mitch Winehouse, who serves as the administrator of the singer’s estate, brought the case against Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay, alleging they improperly profited from the sale of her memorabilia. He claimed the pair had no right to sell the items and did so without his knowledge, arguing they should not have benefited from the auctions. Amy Winehouse died in 2011 at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning at her home in London, bringing an end to a career that made her one of the most recognizable voices of her generation. The dispute centered on roughly 150 personal items, including clothing, accessories, and stage pieces such as dresses, shoes, scarves, earrings, and handbags. Justice Chibueze Nnamani,has been nominated as the President of the Enugu Customary Court of Appeal today by the Enugu State House of Assembly.The assembly made the confirmation in Enugu today friday after receiving a letter from Governor Ifeanyi Uguanyi,on the nominee's appointment.The Speaker of the house,Chief Edward Ubosi,read the letter from the governor and the members of the sixth assembly unanimously proceeded with the screening of the nominee.Leader of the assmbly,Ikechukwu Ezugwu,listed the qualification and work experience of the nominee after which he moved a motion for the house to allow the nominee take a bow and leave.The members supported Nnamani's nomination as the president of the customary Court of Appeal.Ezugwu described him as ''A hardworking lawyer'' who had over the years performed excellently in the Judiciary.
