Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. As the ongoing clearance and rescue operation gained momentum,troops of 28 Task Force Brigade have successfully cleared enclaves of Boko Haram terrorists along Galtha Baba,Galtha Musa,B ulakurma,Shatimari,Chukruk,Bulangaje,and Disa villages.During the operation,one Boko Haram terrorist was captured alive and 3 motorcycles,bags of grains,their flags and uniforms were recovered.Other items incude suicide bomber's hijab,mobile phone and 1 Dane gun,as well as foodstufs and cooking utensils.The troops also rescued 15 persons that were held hostages by the Boko Haram terrorists in the area.Unfortunately,two armoured fighting vehicles {AFVs} entered an Improvised Explosive Device {IED}.However,the formation did not sustain any human casualty and the damage to the AFVs was minimal.The captured terrorist is being interrogated and would soon betaken to the relevant agencies for prosecution.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director Army Public Relations.More photos below.
